Landsec Case Study
In collaboration with:
Potential carbon savings
Potential waste reduction
Less time spent auditing
Landsec, one of the largest real estate companies in Europe, began working with Qflow in an effort to enhance sustainable construction on future projects.
Landsec have created a rich culture of innovation to support ambitious sustainability targets and deployed Qflow to automate tracking and analysis of waste and materials on site. This allowed Landsec to measure potential carbon savings across their projects and supply chain as well as significantly reduce time spent auditing environmental data.
To execute an ambitious sustainability plan requires clear and transparent understanding of where you are now, and where to find opportunities for improvement; this requires a high volume of data. The construction industry has been slow to prioritise the need for data, a key area where Landsec is ahead of the curve..
“Qflow have focused on acquiring data accurately, translating it quickly, and provided it in a format that enables people to make informed decisions”
– Neil Pennell, Head of Design Innovation and Property Solutions, Landsec
After a successful pilot deployment, Landsec adopted Qflow on a major London development, and are exploring further application across additional sites. Turning the tide on the construction sector’s environmental impact will be an incremental process. By using Qflow, Landsec increased their capability of reducing carbon emissions and reporting on ESG requirements, fueling their sustainability strategy and making it a more cost-efficient process.
